Hundreds get into festive spirit at annual elf trail

A Penguin outside light in Demelza's Garden at the Elf Trail

Christmas celebrations at Demelza are well and truly underway after an annual fundraising event took place at the weekend.

More than 900 people came along to the Elf Trail and Festive Market at the charity’s hospice site in Sittingbourne on both Saturday and Sunday.

Visitors took part in a magical light trail which they followed round the gardens to find some mischievous hiding elves.

There was a Christmas market full of stalls selling gifts, goodies and festive delights from local traders.

Children also had the chance to meet Father Christmas at our accessible grotto and receive a gift.

The events at the weekend raised almost £12,000.

Demelza's Senior Events Executive, Emily Lofts, said: “Our annual elf trail is such a lovely event and feels like the start of the Christmas celebrations at Demelza.

“We’re grateful to all our fantastic supporters and to everyone who joined us and helped spread Christmas cheer.”
