Guests enjoyed festive readings from some famous faces at Demelza's Christmas concert at an iconic Greenwich venue.

Demelza held its annual Celebration of Christmas event at the Old Royal Naval College yesterday (Tuesday 9th December).

Actor Sally Lindsay, actor and narrator Natalie Casey and broadcaster Jonny Meah all gave readings and guests heard from Aoife, whose son Tom is supported by Demelza.

There was music from the Demelza Choir and Bexley Grammar School Chamber Choir as well as a performance by saxophonist Rob Burton.

Around 200 people were there to enjoy the evening in the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul and altogether the event raised £9,500 for Demelza.

Demelza’s Senior Events Manager, Anna Watson, said: “It was a fantastic evening at a beautiful venue for our annual Celebration of Christmas event.

“We would like to thank all our supporters who came along to the event and so generously donated to Demelza.

“Thanks also to all our readers and performers, our sponsors Judge and Priestley Solicitors and of course to the Old Royal Naval College and all its staff – it was truly a special night.

“Events like this are so important in raising vital funds to allow us to continue supporting children with serious or life-limiting conditions and their families.”
