Bromley FC players visit Demelza South East London
Players from Bromley FC visited Demelza South East London to hand out some Christmas gifts to children and families.
A group of young professionals and scholars from the club went along to the hospice in Wensley Close, Eltham, yesterday (Thursday 18).
They were given a tour of the site and spent time talking with staff and families and they gave some presents out to the children who were there.
Bromley FC's Head of Operations, Alex Koroma, said: “Our visit to Demelza’s Eltham hospice was incredibly eye-opening. The parents and staff took the time to educate us about the support their children receive and their honesty and strength really brought home just how vital Demelza’s work is.
“Most of the children we met were very young, so hearing directly from families about their journeys made a huge impact on our young pros and scholars. They came away inspired by the resilience of the children and the unwavering dedication of the team around them.
“As a club and trust, we’re committed to supporting organisations that truly make a difference in our community, and Demelza embodies that completely. We’re proud to continue building this relationship.”
