The late Len Goodman

The late Len Goodman, long term supporter of Demelza, was a professional ballroom dancer, dance judge, coach and former head judge of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.

Len was the inspiration for Demelza's The Goodman Celebration Tree which gives supporters the opportunity to purchase a copper leaf in memory of a loved one.

Len also appeared on TV quiz shows Tipping Point: Lucky Stars and The Weakest Link, winning money for Demelza.

He lent his voice to our Christmas campaign in 2019, took a starring role in Demelza’s family quiz in 2020 and recorded a heartfelt message of thanks to the team of volunteers who keep our services running. He also gave his time to record three radio adverts for Demelza which ran on the Heart radio network during 2021.

No one says it better than Len: “Thank you to everyone at Demelza and especially from Len, it’s a ten!”
