Sir Martyn Lewis CBE

Sir Martyn Lewis CBE, TV news presenter, journalist and Chairman of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, has supported Demelza for over 20 years.

Martyn reported on the hospice movement for an edition of News at Ten over 36 years ago and had no hesitation in accepting an invitation to become a Vice President of Demelza a few years later.

A guest speaker at the first Demelza fundraising dinner, Martyn attended the Demelza service of thanksgiving at Rochester Cathedral, has read at several carol concerts at Canterbury Cathedral and took part in the virtual celebration of Christmas in 2020.
